Political economy, labour market, poverty, income distribution
Ari Perdana is an economist at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Jakarta, Indonesia. He is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and the Graduate Program in Public Policy, University of Indonesia. Aside from research, Ari Perdana also writes economic columns for local and national newspapers.
Ari Perdana received his Sarjana Ekonomi (Bachelor of Economics) at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1998.’ He then became a teaching assistant at the faculty in 1997 and in mid-1998 joined CSIS as a research assistant. He has a Master of Economics of Development degree from the National Centre for Development Studies, Australian National University, Canberra in 2000. In 2006, he received his Master in Public Administration/International Development from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
