Research interests
Role of Indonesian army (TNI), political development and defence, conflict resolution in Aceh and Papua, elections and political parties

J. Kristiadi is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Strategic of International Studies (CSIS) Jakarta. He is currently the Secretary of the Board of Directors of CSIS Foundation. He is also a lecturer in Atma Jaya University and a visiting lecturer in SESKO TNI and State Administration Institution (LAN).

He is currently involved in Papua Working Group in resolving conflicts in Papua and one of the leading political scientists in the country.

In 1994, J. Kristiadi obtained his Ph.D. at Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta. He is also the member of the Tri Jati Foundation.
