Research interests
Economic modelling, social learning in networks, economic integration
Arya B. Gaduh is an economist, currently responsible for the development of CSIS’s macroeconometric model. He also participates in a study on ASEAN economic integration. He is also a consultant for the World Bank project on the educational experiment in Central Java.
Apart from research, he ocassionally lectured, inter alia, at the Prasetiya Mulya Graduate School of Management. Occasionally, he writes for national newspapers.
Arya received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley in 1996 and immediately joined the Centre in early 1997. In 2000, he received the British Chevening Award to pursue a Graduate Diploma in Economics at the University of Cambridge, UK.
A year later, he was awarded the Citibank-Cambridge Scholarship to continue to the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program at Cambridge. He received his MPhil in Economics degree in 2002 with a thesis entitled 'Information and social networks in village economies'.
