The resources of the Library are an essential foundation for CSIS research and publication on domestic and international issues.

The Library is open to the public, reflecting CSIS commitment to public education. Since its inception on 1 September 1971, it has been an important resource for many thousands of Indonesian students, researchers, civil servants, business and military personnel, lawyers and journalists.
